Classic mountain books

Calazo's Mountain Classics is a series of books about the Swedish mountains that have gone out of print at other publishers but that we believe are still interesting for today's mountain hikers. With this series, we want to let classic mountain books live on and become available to new readers.

Most of the content in the books is still valid today, even though some of the books were published quite a few years ago. It is important that you as a reader take these books for what they are. We have not revised the texts. To put it plainly - they contain facts that are no longer true. We urge you to read with this in mind.

Each author brings with them special experiences and knowledge and describes the mountains from their unique perspective. With Calazo's Mountain Classics we want to contribute to maintaining a diversity of voices that tell the story of our beloved mountain areas.
