The emphasis is on routes that can be reached by train or bus. The authors have also spent a lot of time digging into Scanian cultural history and bringing out stories along the way.

The authors are freelance journalist Caroline Alesmark and hiking expert Kenneth Joelsson. Caroline often writes about the combination of cultural history and nature, in addition to many excursion reports for newspapers and magazines, she is behind several popular books about Scania. Kenneth works as a consultant for public organizations in matters relating to the development and management of hiking trails. He is also very passionate about the connection between the stay in nature and personal well-being.
