Vandra i Skaraborg

The landscape between Vänern and Vättern is filled with geological sights, historical remains and botanically interesting environments. Most of the book's 52 hikes are within the Platåbergen Geopark – Sweden's first Unesco global geopark. The hikes take you close to the unique plateau mountains that each have their own special character.

During the hikes, you will pass steep rock walls, pass fragrant onion groves and blooming cherry trees. You see remains from the many stone industries and maybe even traces from the Ice Age. You will get magnificent nature experiences and certainly a few drops of sweat on your forehead.

Each map in this book is provided with a QR code. Scan the code with the mobile camera and you can easily follow the tour suggestion on the phone.

The author Magnus Patriksson was born and raised in Västergötland. Since childhood, he has had a burning interest in outdoor life in all its forms. Among other things, Magnus is involved in the promotion of outdoor activities and started the Facebook group Vandra i Skaraborg a few years ago, which today has over 25,000 members.
