Chamonix is undoubtedly the capital of mountaineering. The impressive Mont Blanc massif with its many 4,000-meter peaks attracts skilled skiers and mountain climbers from all over the world.

But the hikes around Chamonix are certainly not just for the most experienced. This book describes 50 easy and medium-difficulty hikes where the number of meters of elevation gain is limited and no advanced equipment is required. A large part of the tours make use of the lifts that are open in summer, and the hikes often end with a pleasant meal with a fantastic view!

The authors Eva Wallstam and Bo Stenson have lived in Geneva and hiked a lot in the mountains around Chamonix for many years. The book is fact-checked by the Swedish mountain guide Ulrika Asp, who lives and works in Chamonix.
