Experience the Swedish winter mountains for real!

Few mountain areas in the world lend themselves as well to ski touring as the Swedish mountains. Our gently rounded mountains with their wide valleys and vast plateaus form a unique landscape - made just for ski touring.

This is the first book in a long time that describes ski touring in Sweden. Now a new generation seems to be on the way to rediscovering the unprestigious pleasure that cross-country skiing offers - where the natural experience and the feeling of just being out on the mountain get to rule.

The book consists of two parts: first a comprehensive manual with all the knowledge you need to plan and carry out a winter trip between mountain huts, then a guide to some our finest mountain areas with fifteen ready-made trip suggestions that suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers.

The author Oskar Karlin is a passionate outdoorsman and cartographer who has visited almost every mountain lodge in Sweden. In this book, he summarizes his experiences from thirty years of skiing. He has previously written Vegetarian tour food (Calazo, 2022).

”I actually think that I basically own all the books written in Swedish about skiing in the Swedish mountain world, and yet I dare say that this one is in a class for itself.”
