Elle Nikishkova is one of Sweden's most popular outdoor chefs. She is often seen standing wrapped in smoke as she cooks over an open fire with sooty hands and a kilt at outdoor festivals and events. With this book, Elle wants to inspire you to cook more with mushrooms and at the same time give you an insight into the history of edible mushrooms in Sweden and other countries.

The book is divided into two parts. The first part is a handy guide to the 20 best edible mushrooms that you can find in our forests. Part two consists of 20 easy-to-cook recipes with mushrooms as the main ingredient. Descriptions of mushrooms and dishes are mixed with interesting facts and curiosities about this versatile commodity.

Elle Nikishkova grew up in the former Soviet Union and has since childhood carried with her a view of the forest as a useful pantry. Her merit list includes, among other things, a master's in international politics, she has run a restaurant in Guatemala and was an edible mushroom expert in Nyhetsmorgon on TV4.
