The book is written in Swedish.
Should we trick a mosquito or go on a mountain hike?
In this book you will learn a lot about the mountains! Here you will find clever outdoor tips mixed with exciting facts about reindeer, glaciers, mountain streams and Sweden's highest mountain. You will also find recipes for mountain ice cream, fun games for evenings in the tent and of course you will learn how to interpret the curves of the map. By the way, did you know that the mountains were formed long before dinosaurs were on earth?
The Children's Mountain Book is written by Karin Runesson and illustrated by Emilie Bergman. Karin is a biologist and freelance writer who enjoys writing about nature and outdoor life for both children and adults. Emilie is an illustrator and graphic designer who likes to be in the mountains all year round. For Calazo, Karin and Emilie have previously made the very popular Children's Outdoor Book. Karin has also written the guidebook Hiking Around Falun & Borlänge.
"I am incredibly fond of this book. It is clear and concise, yet interesting and enticing. Karin Runesson explains things so well that can be difficult to understand. And Bergman's pictures and design support understanding in an exemplary way." – Cilla Dalén, Faktabok.se
"A well-balanced compilation of mountain knowledge, practical tips and mountain species to look forward to. Stylish illustrations with lots to discover in the pictures and enticing facts." – Naturmorgon in P1
