The feed is known for its wilderness-like spruce forests, which are striped by slope marshes and lush stream valleys. The diverse habitats of the National Park include all our large carnivores, as well as the white-tailed eagle, the golden eagle, the common harrier, the woodpecker, the woodpecker and the eastern ovenbird, and the brook trout and the otter splash in the streams. There are 122 kilometers of marked skiing and hiking trails and 150 kilometers of trails suitable for cycling, some of which run through the Iso-Syotte camping area and other nearby areas. You can continue the hike to the UKK route. Pärjänjoki is a popular kayaking and fishing destination, but quite rocky in dry times.

Map scale
- 1:100 000 gives a better overview of larger areas.
- 1:50 000 is suitable for hiking.
- 1:25 000 is used for detailed orientation, for example when following paths, mountain terrain or smaller trails.
