Fells, dunes and river routes, the Pöyrisjärvi wilderness area is perfect for both day hikers and experienced hikers. The marked routes are concentrated between Heta and Näkkäläjärvi. Elsewhere in the fells, unmarked paths are followed or according to one's own wishes. A comprehensive route system has been planned for mountain bikers. Among the rivers flowing through the wilderness, the Pöyrisjoki is demanding and also contains impassable rapids. Käkkälöjoki is also suitable for kayakers who are new to their hobby. We use laser scanning data in our maps, thanks to which the terrain information and elevation curves are more precise than before. Our map is printed on Tyvek material, which is water-resistant and tear-resistant. Thanks to the ingenious division of the pages, all the most important excursion destinations in the area can be found on one map.
