Our maps are printed on a fantastic material called Tyvek. Tyvek is completely waterproof, incredibly durable, and resistant to all types of wear and tear. In our comparisons between different materials (e.g., Pretex and Polyart), we have concluded that Tyvek is the preferred choice. It is the easiest to handle when you're out in the field and retains color in the folds better.
